US dollar tops SL Rs. 150 mark

For the first time in Sri Lankan history, the selling price of a US dollar topped the Sri Lankan Rs. 150 mark today (30 March).

According to the daily exchange rates released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, the buying price of a US dollar recorded Rs. 146.52 and the selling price Rs. 150.54.


Meanwhile, the exchange rates of currencies of several other countries increased against the Sri Lankan Rupee today. Among them are the Sterling Pound, Euro, Swiss Franc and the Canadian, Australian and Singapore dollars.
