Man trampled to death by elephant in Polonnaruwa

A man has been trampled to death by a wild elephant in Polonnaruwa early hours of this morning (19), the police said.

The police have identified the individual as a 49-year-old who was a resident of Konduruwewa area in Rathupalama.

The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the Polonnaruwa hospital pending an autopsy.
