West Indies stunned England to become World Twenty20 champions for the second time.
Eoin Morgans side came to the brink of victory in a topsy-turvy final in Kolkata, recovering from a shaky start to be undone by some stunning power hitting by Marlon Samuels and Carlos Brathwaite in the closing stages.
West Indies needed 19 off the final over from Ben Stokes, but Brathwaite hit FOUR successive sixes to prompt jubilant scenes among his team-mates.
England, understandably, could barely believe what had hit them. West Indies won the toss and put England in to bat.
That looked like a good call early on as Jason Roy and Alex Hales departed with little resistance. Morgan went for five soon after, leaving his side with a mountain to climb. Joe Root and Jos Buttler helped kickstart a fightback. The later played fluently for his 36, while Root made 54 before succumbing to the impressive Carlos Brathwaite.
David Willey added 21 off 16 balls late on as England clawed their way to 155-9 at the end of 20 overs.
